AEES Embracing Development Opportunities with the Stable Growth of Electronics and Information Industry

In 2013, the sales of China's electronics and information industry reached 12.4 trillion Chinese yuan, up 12.7 percent year on year. This figure also accounts for more than a half of the global IT expenditure in that period. In terms of hardware equipment, a total of 1.46 billion cell phones, 340 million computers and 130 million TV sets were produced in China, accounting for more than a half of the world's delivered goods. Regarding software development, China's revenue in software business increased by 24.6 percent year on year, much higher than the global average, which was 5.7 percent. China's share in the global market went further up.

At the same time, China's foreign trade structure was continuously optimized with the strength of domestic-funded enterprises keeping growing. Thanks to the sound development of China's electronics and information industry, its support the national economic growth to be constantly improving. More and more enterprises have obtained sufficient development space and had been inputting more funds and efforts to publicize and promote themselves.

Asia Electronics Exhibition in Shanghai (AEES) will be held in conjunction with 84th China Electronics Fair (CEF) and IC China 2014 this October in Shanghai. Since 2004, AEES has been kicking off every autumn in Shanghai. It will celebrate its 11th anniversary this year.

AEES is jointly organized by five leading electronics exhibition organizers in Asia, namely, the organizer of China Electronics Fair (CEF), the organizer of Korea Electronics Show (KES), the organizer of Hong Kong Electronics Fair (HKEF), the organizer of Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC Japan), and the organizer of Taipei International Electronics Show Components & Equipment (Taitronics). The close cooperation of five leading professional exhibition organizers guarantees that the AEES will become a first class electronics and ICT exhibition in the world.

China Electronics Fair (CEF) is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of electronics and information industry in China. With its debut in 1964, CEF has grown up with China's fast-growing economy and witnessed the transition and development of China's electronics and information industry from planned economy to market economy. China International Semiconductor Expo (IC China) has been an influential pageant globally after more than 10 years' development. The platform works for international manufacturers of integrated circuit design, chip processing, packaging & testing, semiconductor equipment, material, and discrete device to showcase their brand new products and solutions


Exhibition Highlights

Hong Kong Pavilion
In recent years, Hong Kong Pavilion keeps expanding. As the legal organization has been devoted to trade promotion in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has been assisting small- and medium-sized enterprises in Hong Kong to expand their businesses to the global market. In the yearly Asia Electronic Exhibition in Shanghai (AEES), HKTDC organized enterprises to exhibit their latest products and technologies every year, establishing a bridge connecting the exhibitors and buyers.


Japan Pavilion
As one of the co-organizers of Asia Electronic Exhibition in Shanghai (AEES), Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) will organize enterprises that won awards at 2014 CEATEC JAPAN to exhibit their latest products and hold press conferences at the conference rooms of the exhibition hall.
CEATEC JAPAN is the comprehensive IT exhibition showing the world's most advanced technologies, products and services, attracting more than 100,000 audiences every year. The award-winning enterprises in 2013 included Toshiba, Nissan, Sharp, Sony, Murata, Kyocera, Fujitsu and NEC.


Korea Pavilion
Besides organizing numerous Korea enterprises to participate in the exhibition, Korea Electronics Association (KEA) also establishes a stage in the exhibition hall every year to demonstrate colorful dance shows and taekwondo and to provide opportunities for participating enterprises to release their latest products. There is a China-Korea Trade Negotiation Zone in the pavilion so that the buyers and exhibitors can exchange views. At last year's exhibition, a joint pavilion of Smart Contents Valley was established in Korea pavilion to exhibit products that can reflect the market highlights such as smart cell phone apps, vehicle apps, robots and visual and audio products.

Taiwan Pavilion
In recent years, Taiwan's electronics and electric machinery industries have been accelerating its expansion in the Chinese mainland market. With the deepening of cooperation in electronics industry, more and more Taiwan electronics enterprises come here for the exhibition. Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) will organize enterprises in areas such as electronic component and device, processing equipment, auto electronics and computer peripherals for 2014 AEES to show their professional and splendid appearance and exhibit their most advanced products so as to lead the world's trend and create more exchange and cooperation opportunities for enterprises.


Review
In the year 2013, the CEF, AEES and IC China were held in conjunction for the first time. There were nearly 1,300 exhibitors showcase their latest products and service at the AEES 2013 & 82nd CEF. The event attracted more than 50,000 visitors.
Statistically, more than 40% exhibitors had participated AEES for no less than 5 times. 90% of them were satisfied with AEES 2013 & 82nd CEF, and 60% selected space for the AEES 2014. 91% of the visitors were satisfied with the organizing of the show, 83% of them thought AEES & CEF were good choices for knowing the latest products and the trend of the market.
The on-site business matching programs provided an open platform for information exchange between suppliers and buyers. It solved the problem between supply and demand. The scale of group buyers for AEES 2013 & 82nd enlarged a lot, including Foxconn, TOSHIBA, Panasonic, LG, BYD, Siemens, Sharp and SONY, etc.
